CMA CGM announced the postponement of the freight rate increase from the Indian Subcontinent, the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, and Egypt to the East Coast of the United States and the Gulf coasts. This marks the third consecutive delay, with the increase now scheduled to take effect in mid-January instead of January 1, at $1,500 per container.
