The Nafeza system, responsible for automating customs ports at the Egyptian Customs Authority, has decided to reduce the service fees for storing temporary admission samples, as part of its efforts to support Egyptian exports.
The Egyptian Company for Information Technology (MTS) stated that, under the new decision, storage fees will be calculated for a maximum of three samples only within each shipment, under the item “Temporary Admission Sample Storage Service Fee,” starting from August 2025. MTS affirmed that this initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian exports in global markets and to ease the financial burdens associated with the clearance process of imported shipments under the temporary admission system.
