Tarros Launches a Service between Italy, Libya & Egypt
28 May 2024
Tarros launched a new service called (LEX) to connect Italy - Libya - Egypt, which will be launched next June.
The Italian line revealed a service in cooperation with the Messina line to increase links between Italy, Libya and Egypt, under the name of the new LEX.
The service is scheduled to be activated with two ships starting in mid-June 2024, with a deadline approximately every 12 days, and will connect the ports of Salerno, Genoa, La Spezia, Tripoli, Misrata, Alexandria and Benghazi.
The line is working to offer the Italian industry a more efficient logistics corridor made with the Messina line.
Tarros aims to expand in the Egyptian market, as it purchased 50 new trucks during the current year at an investment cost estimated at 200 million pounds, as part of the company’s plan to support its fleet and provide land transportation services to its customers.
Having a fleet of heavy transport vehicles increases its competitive strength in the Egyptian market, given its ability to control its operational operations to a greater extent, unlike companies that operate through external service providers and do not own their own trailers.
The company also provides European-style land transportation services, providing its customers with direct tracking of shipments and logistical operations. From Jeddah to Northern Europe, passing through the port of Alexandria.
