The Canal Authority will implement berthing and stay fees on the berths in Port Said and Suez next June 1
30 Apr 2024
The Suez Canal Authority has announced changes to the berthing and stay fees at its berths in Port Said and Suez, effective from June 1st. These revised fees will apply to all types of ships, regardless of tonnage or marine units in the port.
According to the navigation leaflet, the toll fees will be calculated based on the length of the marine unit multiplied by $2 per meter, multiplied by the number of days of stay for foreign units. For Egyptian ships, the stay and berthing fees will be calculated based on the length of the unit multiplied by 10 Egyptian pounds per meter, multiplied by the number of days of stay. The circular also specifies that fractions of a day will be counted as full days, and fractions of a meter in the unit length will be calculated as full meters.
