Grape Export Season Drives Launch of New Black Sea Shipping Services from Egypt

Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Company has announced the imminent launch of a new shipping service linking West Port Said with Novorossiysk Port in Russia. This initiative forms part of Egypt’s broader strategy to expand maritime connectivity and strengthen the role of Egyptian ports in regional and international trade.

In parallel, Alexandria Port will begin offering regular shipping services to several Black Sea ports, further reinforcing trade ties with countries in the region.

Additionally, EGYMAR is set to launch a dedicated grape export service from Alexandria to the ports of Koper (Slovenia), Venice, and Ravenna (Italy). Estimated transit times are as follows:

  • 3 days to Koper
  • 4 days to Venice
  • 5 days to Ravenna

These developments aim to boost Egypt’s fruit export capabilities, particularly for perishable goods, while streamlining logistics and transit efficiency across the Mediterranean and Black Sea corridors.
