New regulations for truck entry at Damietta port

Rear admiral Tariq Adli, chairman of the board of directors of Damietta port authority, has issued mandatory instructions for trucks entering the port starting May 2025. The instructions obligate owners of transportation activity licenses to pre-register their shipment data through the port’s electronic portal under the pre-booking system (Booking). Additionally, all maritime transport workers, including truck owners and drivers, must obtain an electronic account (username and password) through the central administration for digital transformation. It is also mandatory to issue an encrypted electronic card for entry and exit operations through the port’s cashier systems and gates. The instructions emphasized that, as of 4 May 2025, any truck failing to comply with these procedures will be denied entry.
