The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the launch of the EXS6 direct shipping service in collaboration with Caerus at Jeddah Islamic Port, marking a significant step in strengthening maritime connections between Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Turkey.
The new service offers a capacity of 858 TEUs and links Jeddah Islamic Port with Iskenderun Port in Turkey and Latakia Port in Syria, facilitating trade flows and supporting national exports and imports.
This initiative aligns with Mawani’s strategy to enhance Saudi Arabia’s position on the global maritime connectivity index, improve port efficiency, and reinforce Jeddah’s role as a key logistics hub. It also supports the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a central gateway connecting three continents.
