MSC has announced the launch of a new direct shipping route connecting Dalian, China, with key Mediterranean ports, including Egypt, Türkiye, and Israel, aiming to enhance logistics efficiency and trade between the regions.
The service will deploy 16 container ships, each with a capacity of 19,000 TEUs, offering weekly shipments of goods such as chemicals, automobiles and spare parts, and mechanical equipment.
Türkiye is among the main beneficiaries, with the route calling at major ports such as Canakkale, Istanbul, and Tekirdag, strengthening trade ties and supply chain integration. The new route reduces transit time by approximately 10 days compared to existing routes, helping businesses lower costs and improve supply chain stability.
Dalian Port is actively expanding its logistics network, currently operating 106 shipping routes, including 93 international routes connecting over 300 ports in 160 countries, supporting global trade and supply chain resilience.
