Turkon Line Expands Global Network with New India Service
Turkon Line, a leading Turkish container transportation brand with 28 years of industry experience, continues to strengthen its global service network. The company has announced the launch of a new India service, expanding its already extensive network that covers America, Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. This strategic initiative aims to provide customers with direct access to India’s rapidly growing and dynamic market. To support this expansion, Turkon Line, headquartered in Istanbul, has appointed Poseidon Shipping Agency, a member of the Abrao Group, as its exclusive agent in India. This partnership combines Turkon Line’s expertise and strong presence in Turkey with the Abrao Group’s local knowledge and extensive network in India, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery.

Eastern Expansion Strategy: Introducing the India Service
Turkon Line is taking a significant step in its eastern growth strategy with the launch of its India service in February 2025. The service will begin with four vessels, expanding to five by June 2025, and will operate weekly. The Turkey-Red Sea-India (TRI) route will connect key ports, including Ambarlı (Istanbul) – Evyap (Izmit) – Aliaga – Mersin – Aqaba – Jeddah – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Jeddah – Aqaba – Alexandria – Ambarli.

The TRI service will offer the fastest transit times from Turkey to India via the Suez Canal and the Red Sea, creating a critical link for the growing trade between India and Turkey. The service will call at Nhava Sheva and Mundra ports in western India, with additional rail connections to strategic inland container depot (ICD) locations in North India. Moreover, the service will connect Mundra and Nhava Sheva ports to key markets in America, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean through Turkon Line’s transshipment hubs in Turkey, providing customers with unparalleled access to global trade routes.
