The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced on Monday, 26 October 2026, that a container ship was attacked by an unknown projectile while sailing toward the Strait of Hormuz.
This was not the first incident this week. On Sunday, 25 October 2026, an oil tanker was hit on its port side by an unknown projectile, with no injuries reported among the crew.
