Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced that its MD1 and MS2 services, part of the Premier Alliance, will return to the Red Sea and Suez Canal route to reduce transit times between Asia and the Mediterranean. The decision follows a review of the security situation in the region.

The MD1 service will start its new rotation from Ningbo, China, on 10 November 2026 on board the YM Trust. It will call at several Asian ports before reaching Sokhna Port, then transit the Suez Canal to Damietta Port, where the vessel is expected on 7 December 2026.

The MD1 rotation then continues to Istanbul, Izmit and Mersin, before returning to Damietta and transiting the Suez Canal again toward Asia.

The MS2 service will start its new rotation from Qingdao, China, on 16 November 2026 on board the ONE Synergy. It will transit the Suez Canal toward several Mediterranean ports, including Piraeus, Valencia, Barcelona, Genoa, La Spezia and Fos.
