Hapag-Lloyd has announced new FAK (Freight All Kinds) rates from Far East ports to several destinations in Europe and the Mediterranean, applicable to sailings from October 19, 2026 until further notice.
The rates cover 20ft dry, 40ft dry, and 40ft High Cube containers:
North Europe: USD 2,750 per 20ft and USD 4,200 per 40ft. West Mediterranean & Adriatic: USD 3,200 per 20ft and USD 4,600 per 40ft. Egypt, Turkey & East Mediterranean: USD 3,600 per 20ft and USD 5,100 per 40ft. Black Sea, Bulgaria & Romania: USD 3,650 per 20ft and USD 5,200 per 40ft.
In a separate update, Hapag-Lloyd announced a Congestion Surcharge at Destination (CGD) of USD 250 per TEU on reefer containers bound for the Port of Tema, Ghana.
The surcharge applies to sailings from October 5, 2026 for reefer cargo originating from Africa, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent.
