Evergreen has announced an update to its acceptance terms for shipper-owned containers (SOC) as part of its compliance with international economic sanctions. Under the update, the carrier will not accept containers owned by sanctioned individuals or companies, or by entities in which sanctioned parties hold a stake of 50% or more, and will also reject containers owned by companies registered in Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Syria.
Evergreen published a list of container prefixes that will not be accepted, including: HDXU, IRSU, ALXU, XBIU, SBAU, BYTU, CBKU, CGVU, NMKU, RZZU, SSFU, SSGU, FESU, FCCU, RZDU, BXAU, VOLU, VOTU, SLVU. The carrier confirmed the list is not final and subject to update, and that it may request additional documentation to verify container ownership before confirming a booking, advising customers to check the latest version with their sales representative before placing any new booking.
