Arkas Line and Turkon Line have announced the expansion of their joint TRI service with the addition of Safaga port to the rotation, strengthening connectivity between the eastern Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Indian subcontinent. According to shipping research firm Dynaliners, the addition falls within the two carriers' plan to widen regional coverage and increase flexibility for cargo moving between Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India.
Under the updated schedule, the service calls at Ambarli, Izmit, Aliaga, Mersin, Iskenderun, Safaga, Jeddah, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, and back to Ambarli. The Safaga call provides direct access to Egypt's Red Sea coast, opening an additional option for Egyptian importers and exporters trading with Turkey and India without routing through intermediate ports.
