The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has extended the storage fee exemption period to 60 days for transit cargo, general cargo and roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) cargo, excluding containers, at a number of the Kingdom's main ports.

The decision covers King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port and NEOM Port, under Circular No. 26 of 2026.

The extension forms part of Mawani's efforts to support the logistics sector, raise operational efficiency at ports and strengthen the competitiveness of Saudi ports as regional logistics hubs. For importers and exporters, it allows a wider window to manage cargo inside the port before storage charges apply.
