Doraleh Container Terminal (DCT) in Djibouti received the first call of Turkish carrier Arkas Line with the vessel MV GULBENIZ A, as part of a new service linking the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Indian subcontinent through the Suez Canal. The service aims to strengthen maritime connectivity between Türkiye, the Red Sea, Djibouti and India, supporting trade flows across these markets and widening shipping options for importers and exporters. The maiden call also marks the start of a new partnership between Arkas Line and Doraleh Container Terminal. The service is expected to reinforce trade links between the eastern Mediterranean, the Red Sea and South Asia, while supporting Djibouti's position as a regional logistics hub.
