Global Feeder Shipping has launched a new service, Adriatic East-Med (AES), connecting Mediterranean ports with the Adriatic Sea, with several Egyptian ports included in the rotation. The rotation begins at Port Said, then Damietta, before calling at Koper in Slovenia and Venice in Italy, and returning to Port Said. The service is deployed with vessels of 1,800 TEU capacity. For Egyptian importers and exporters, the service opens a direct link to northern Italy and Central European markets through Adriatic gateways, reducing dependence on transhipment via western Mediterranean hubs.
