The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announces the addition of a new shipping service, AE19, operated by Maersk, to Jeddah Islamic Port, as part of efforts to enhance maritime connectivity between the Kingdom and global markets.
The new service connects Jeddah Port with several global ports, including Shanghai, Qingdao, Ningbo, and Xingang in China, Busan in South Korea, Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia, and the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, in addition to transshipment hubs in the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, before returning to Jeddah Islamic Port and then Singapore.
The service has a capacity of approximately 17,000 TEUs, contributing to supporting trade flows and enhancing supply chain efficiency through the port.
