MSC Announces End of Voyage for Shipments to the Gulf

In light of ongoing security developments in the Middle East, MSC announces the implementation of an End of Voyage measure for shipments bound to Gulf ports, meaning the voyage will not be completed to the final destination.

The decision applies to all shipments currently on board vessels or at ports, as well as empty containers already delivered for stuffing and intended for export to the region.

As a result, vessels are diverted to the nearest safe port for discharge, where cargo is made available to customers for local collection or re-arrangement for shipment to another destination.

The company also states that an additional charge of USD 800 per container is applied to cover rerouting costs, along with all related discharge, storage, and handling charges at the discharge port.

Customers wishing to redirect shipments to another destination are required to place a new booking through the company’s offices.
