Maersk announced the introduction of Import Inspection (INI) charges on inbound containers discharged at the Suez Canal Container Terminal in Port Said, effective 1 March.
The charges are set at USD 80 per 20’ container and USD 95 per 40’ and 45’ containers.
According to Maersk, the fees reflect inspection procedures and customs requirements within the terminal, including additional container movements required for scanning operations. The charges apply to all full import containers handled at the terminal.
