UAE tightens controls on Egyptian agricultural exports

The Agricultural Export Council confirmed that the United Arab Emirates has tightened regulatory controls on imports of certain Egyptian agricultural products, effective 8 January 2026.

The decision covers:

  • Oranges

  • Strawberries

  • Guava

  • Grapes

  • Lemons

Exporters are urged to fully comply with UAE requirements, particularly regarding maximum pesticide residue limits, to avoid shipment rejection or export disruptions.

The council stressed that compliance is essential to maintain Egyptian agricultural exports’ access to the UAE market and protect the reputation and quality of Egyptian products.
