The Egyptian Company for Industrial Exports announced the launch of an integrated logistics warehouse in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products and accelerating their access to East African markets.
The warehouse, developed on an area of 20,000 square meters, will operate as a regional distribution hub, contributing to lower logistics costs and supporting the export of building materials, textiles, and ready-made garments. The facility will be available to all Egyptian companies seeking to export their products.
The company also plans to launch a dedicated shipping line to transport products from Egypt to African markets, starting with one vessel, with plans for gradual expansion and the formation of a fully integrated fleet.
This step comes as part of efforts to capitalize on growing opportunities in Kenya and Tanzania, particularly as trade volume between Egypt and Kenya has reached approximately USD 450 million.
