The Egyptian Tax Authority has issued Tariff Circular No. (43) for the year 2025 regarding amendments to the Explanatory Notes in accordance with Annexes (6) and (7), which were adopted by the Harmonized System Committee (HSC) during the sessions of the World Customs Organization in Brussels. These amendments include reclassification of certain items imported into the local market.
The Customs Authority indicated that the amended paragraphs have been highlighted for clarification and that these amendments will be incorporated into the Explanatory Notes volumes previously printed and distributed across all customs sites.
Approval has been granted for the amendments adopted by the Harmonized System Committee during its 74th session (document NC1280) and its 75th session (document NC RASSER), in accordance with the procedure set forth in Article (8.2) of the Harmonized System Convention.
