MSC has announced the implementation of a Congestion Surcharge (CGS) on all shipments originating from India, Pakistan, and the Middle East to Guinea, due to ongoing congestion at Conakry Port, which has led to increased service costs.

This surcharge will apply to all types of containers, including:
  • Dry containers
  • Reefer containers
  • Special equipment

The surcharge will be USD 300 per TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) and will take effect starting July 28, 2025, based on the gate-in date of the container at the port.
